Rachel Hill

Teacher & Educational Strategist

Rachel comes to KiS with seven years of educational experience, after earning her Masters Degree in 2015. Under the guidance of the UT Graduate School of Education, she researched and documented the effectiveness of integrating word study, writing, and student-choice Reading in the literacy block. Additionally, an article about her creative and effective use of graphic novels in the classroom was published in the Tennessee Literacy Journal. She is a passionate lifelong learner, who is determined to spread her love of learning far and wide.

Rachel is a Knoxville native and loves serving the families of this unique community. She and her husband are happy raising their four cats: Starfish, Pat Pat, Milkface, and Fredo. Her interests include reading, theatre, soccer, singing,  ping-pong, photography, and dance.
